COP21 in Metz (France) - An hourglass as a symbol of climate urgency

By Béatrice Karas on 28 juillet 2015

With a 2.5 metre-high hourglass exposed in front of the Centre Pompidou-Metz, the municipality wants to symbolise time that goes by and the urgency of the situation.

The initiative #signCOP21 gives the opportunity to the citizens of the world to sign the climate agreement on behalf of the heads of states. Its aim : influence the leaders so that they achieve and sign the new agreement on the climate.
If you sign, they will !

On November 30th, the first day of COP 21, all the signatures will be handed over to Ban Ki-moon, the Secretary General of the United Nations. All heads of states will also receive the signatures from their home countries.

Thanks to social networks, the initiative Signcop can mobilise citizens and reinforce a real citizen movement that is influencing world leaders in their decisions for our future.
At the end of July, more than 2.100 signatories have joined the movement.

If you sign, they will !
