Transition cities: there is life after coal!
By Sara Giovannini | 292 visits

The team of experts provides another dramatic assessment of how a global warming of 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels will impact our cities and lives. Various non-state organisations reacted to the report. Especially cities notify the same need for urgent action. Together with other civil society actors, they are calling upon EU leaders to accelerate the transition to a zero-carbon Europe in line with a 1.5°C pathway.

How Polish cities are bucking the government’s coal trend: 5 ways to push for more renewable energy
By Sara Giovannini | 638 visits

The government should encourage renewable strategies at the local level, cities say. We looked at energy strategies in Polish municipalities and found a lot of initiative, ingenuity and a big desire for change.
